Art Nouveau

Vintage

A pair of vintage French library volumes featuring Pierre de Coulevain’s "Ève Victorieuse" and René Bazin's "Le Guide de l'Empereur", dating back to around 1910. These elegant pocket-sized editions were a staple of the refined Parisian study. The covers are adorned with a delicate Art Nouveau-inspired floral wreath, showcasing the storied charm of the historic Collection Nelson library. Both books feature a color frontispiece (an illustration facing the title page).

At Maison Amaranth, we love these volumes displayed on a bedside table or a petite mantle. They are striking stacked horizontally to elevate a small taper candle, or tucked into a row of linen-bound books to soften a collection.

A NOTE ON CHARACTER

Each piece shows the gentle marks of time, adding to its character. Photos reflect the condition; variations may occur. It displays a rustic patina, including some aged spots on the pages and several loose pages that reflect its long life. All sales are final. Every curve and imperfection tells a story — a testament to the Maison Amaranth ethos of bringing objects with soul into your home.
