A small antique French Saint-Uze stoneware tureen likely dating back to the early 20th century. The high-fired grès-cérame body features a brilliant ivory glaze adorned with a traditional cobalt blue frieze, a geometric stencil synonymous with the Drôme region. The tiered lid with a prominent ball finial and architectural handles are remarkable. Though unmarked, its substantial weight and vitrified construction are hallmarks of the historic Saint-Uzienne production.
