An antique metal cooking pot found in Alsace, likely originating from France circa early to mid-20th century. This authentic rustic pot is stamped from lightweight, durable aluminum or tinned metal. Its uncommonly tall, narrow silhouette was intentionally designed to save premium hearth space over open fires, allowing multiple pots to sit side-by-side while minimizing falling wood ash. Three small riveted button feet elevate the base, allowing hot air to circulate directly among the embers. Decades of traditional farmhouse cooking have given the interior a deeply darkened, character-rich organic patina.
